The 2nd Saringgaya Award for Environmental Excellence was received by Sta. Magdalena along with Sorsogon Province, Donsol & Irosin for LGU Category. The 1st Saringgaya Award for Sta. Magdalena was received in 2013. This is a regional award program by DENR Region 5 to recognize exemplary environmental practices by individuals, academe, institutions and government agencies.
